About Us

Pro Print was founded in the spring of 1977 as a small, quick-print shop on the west end of Duluth, Minnesota. The business grew quickly and within eight years it had out-grown its original location. In 1985, the company moved to a 10,000 square foot facility on East Central Entrance in Duluth.

Pro Print continued to grow over the next 20 years to become the printer that customers could turn to for a great print job at a value based price. Owners Scott Cooke and Creston Dorothy are committed to quality, technological advancement and customer service. This has led to outstanding growth of the business. In fact, Pro Print has made the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing privately held companies in the United States for two years in a row.

This growth led to a new, state-of-the-art, 20,000 square foot printing facility built in 2008 in Duluth's Airpark. A new, 6,000 square foot addition to the facility will be completed by the end of 2008, bringing the total plant square footage to 26,000 square feet.

Today, Pro Print is a full-service printer, handling all aspects of a job, from design and prepress to binding and mailing. Products produced on site include high-end annual reports, art reproductions, brochures, publications, point of purchase, direct mail, digital imaging and mailing, as well as other services.

Pro Print has six sheet-fed presses and one digital press. We run three shifts in the pressroom and also have crews on the weekend, allowing us to quickly complete your job. We are able to produce the highest quality printing projects with a value-minded price. Pro Print currently employs 41 people and produces high-quality work for customers in the upper Midwest and from coast to coast.

Pro Print takes a responsible and balanced approach to running our business while keeping the environment in mind. Pro Print uses soy-based inks, recycled paper for the most part, and we recycle our paper scraps, litho aluminum and other wood products. We offer flex schedules to keep personal vehicle usage to a minimum and our new printing facility is extremely energy efficient.
