Design:

We have 3 designers on staff. We offer design services for brochures, annual reports, flyers, catalogs, publications, folders, rack cards, posters, newsletters, direct mail pieces, envelopes, letterheads, business cards or just about any other item you might need printed.

We can develop your concept and carry it through until you are fully satisfied with the piece you have designed. Also, since we are the printer, we can ensure that the design you have arrived at is achievable on press and beyond!

Prepress:

We have a state of the art prepress department.

Scanning / Digital Capture:

We can scan up to 11,000 dpi. We can scan from your negative or positive, reflective or transmission copy. We can scan a multi-plane item (such as a watch) and maintain sharpness. We have copy-dot capabilities, allowing us to digitize film so older content may be re-purposed electronically. We can also capture your image electronically with state of the art digital camera technology. Call to let us know your needs.

File Editing and Manipulation

We accept both Mac and PC platform files. We accept files in all of the common prepress applications, and some not so common. If you are unsure of the application you are using, please call us to confirm our ability to achieve proper output from your original application.

We accept Quark, PageMaker, Illustrator, Freehand, Photoshop, InDesign, Corel Draw, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. These are a few of the applications we can accept. If you do not see your application here, please call to determine if your files will be useable.

We provide you with automated trapping through our RIP and perform pagination for you. There is no need to build your files to accommodate printer spreads or "creep" in your book. Our software handles that seamlessly for you.

Prepress is a very technical piece of your print project. Please view our Electronic File Creation document in our downloadable forms section for help on producing your file correctly.

Our prepress department now features thermal computer to plate technology. We image our plates directly from your electronic file. This eliminates film output, allowing the plate to be the first generation from your electronic file. We can image up to 24 plates an hour at 200-line screen. Our plate setter can image plates up to 400-line screen and beyond.

Press:

We have sheet-fed and web capabilities. All of our print work is done lithographically. We can print anything from one color to 8-color work. We print on gloss or uncoated paper stocks. PMS colors are very common and we have our own in-house ink lab, so we can mix virtually any color you want. We can print metallic inks and we can run your job with most any kind of coating you desire, from varnish to aqueous to UV coating.

Our new Shinohara 74V 5-color press with in-line aqueous coating and CIP3 capabilities allows us to produce high quality work in a very efficient manner. The technological advances of this press ensure your job is printed quickly while printing the top quality work that you have come to expect from Pro Print.

Our new Shinohara 74VP Perfector is a sister press to the 74V 5 color. On the perfector, we can print four color process on one side, or print two colors on both sides of the sheet in a sigle pass. This is a much more efficent way to produce your 1 and 2 color work, and we pass those savings on to you!

All of our pressmen and presswomen are experienced and they are happy to work with you on your press check. We pride ourselves in being customer oriented and want you to get the best job possible. We always strive to schedule customer press checks during normal business hours to accommodate your schedule. Please work with your sales representative to get the timing you need.

We can deliver extremely high print quality and we regularly print 200 line screen projects. Our standard output is 175-line screen, so if you would like to have the highest resolutions possible on paper, be sure to let your sales rep know!

Bindery

We are able to cut fold and bind your job. We can go over the options with you, from saddle stitching to perfect binding to spiral binding to hand stitching. Our cutter is electronically programmed and our folders are state of the art as well. We also offer die cutting, numbering, shrink-wrapping and poly bagging. Whatever your bindery needs are, we can accommodate them!

Mailing

We mail numerous publications. We have monthly, bi-monthly and quarterly publications that we mail for our customers, as well as direct mail campaigns. Just supply us your database file, tab or comma delimited spreadsheet file or ASCII based file and we will perform CASS and PAVE sorting, duplicate record management and inkjet your mailing list names directly on to you printed product! We can even print specialized messages and variable data on each piece. Please talk to your sales rep about your mailing needs.
